Today is Robert's first Father's Day. And he's at work. All I have to say is "Lame." I was tempting him to call in and take the day off but we're a bit broke at the moment so we wouldn't be able to do anything anyway.
It is his first official Father's Day that he is able to celebrate though. This time last year we had already lost our precious Jayden.
So both Dominic and I are both home alone while everyone else in our neighborhood seems to be having a barbecue and spending quality family time together. It's just us two and we're both spending the day without our fathers. Lame. A fatherless Father's Day. At least Dominic will spend some time later on (around 11pm) with his dad. Mine is 600+ miles away. =[ And yes, they're enjoying a barbecue too.
I know about some fatherless fathers days too. I'm glad that Dominic has a father that would spend a holiday dedicated to dad's working hard to support his child. We need more of those fathers, and father's day is just a day on the calendar that someone picked for you, make a happy unfather's day if you wanna show your appreciation. =)
