It has been FOREVER since I've gotten on this thing. Was inspired to write a new post by a wedding blog I saw on FB.
So what's new? Ummmmmm A LOT!
On April 2 we had our son's first birthday party. It was so much fun. The theme was Toy Story which was pretty neat I guess. Already thinking about theme's for next year but I think we'll wait to see if Dominic has any favorites around that time as well. Dominic had so much fun I think. The food was great, family was there! I have the best friends in the entire world I think. Joey and Chris went out of their way to make the day so special and everyone that showed up is amazing! =] Also Dom got some great gifts and toys! He loves them all and our apartment is officially his. There is not a room in the whole place that is not somehow devoted just to him. =P
His real birthday was the 9th of April....which we got to spend in FLORIDA! That was so much fun. My brother and my new sister-in-law had their wedding on that day but it was a week-long event really. Mars, Robert, Dominic, Marcus, Melanie, and myself drove to San Antonio together (Don't ask how we all fit in a 5 seat car, there are some legal implications). Then, my parents and grandparents had rented a 15-passenger van. So, here is everyone we managed to fit in the van in order from front to back, left to right: Dad, Mom, Nathan, Kevin, Mona, Dominic, Robert, me, Marcus, Melanie, Marissa, suitcase, suitcase, Michelle. The all-day drive was horrible, uncomfortable, and never-ending. But we made it! We spent a lot of time on the private beach to which we had access, in the pool, in the three story house. We also tried to go out. Hands-down the most amazing experience for the year! The wedding was soooooo beautiful! The church was great, the reception was in a hall right by ocean (or some body of water I think). And we saw DOLPHINS right in the middle of the reception. My dad swears they were sharks. =) Was so sad to leave and come back to the "real world."
But about a month later I GRADUATED! Yep, graduated from college. I received a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology. It was really exciting and I was so happy some family was here to see it. My uncle, aunt, and cousins came in from Arlington, TX. My parents and grandparents came in from San Antonio. We had brunch after the ceremony at Track One then a party at Robert's cousin's house. The best day in all of May!
Next thing happening this year: I'm turning 23! I don't feel old or anything I just don't feel 23. Oh well. This year I've decided to have a theme song: Lol only because I'm 23. It is Blink 182's "What's My Age Again?"
Hopefully it isn't months till I come update. Hopefully it isn't months until I have something to update...
